Amazingly, the same report showed an average increase of 46% of DHEA and 40.8% for IGF-1, both markers related to levels of human growth hormone, the indicators of true biological age. Furthermore, TNF improved 37%. TNF (Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha) is one of the three most significant markers of cellular inflammation.

The benefits of taking MaxGXL include the following:

Improved energy.
Better quality of sleep.
Improved mood.
Improved mental focus.
Decreased aches and pain.

In an unrelated study, researchers recently discovered that Centenarians between the ages of 100 to 105 years of age have Glutathione levels similar to 30-50 year old well, physically fit, normals.

Does increased Glutathione levels in your body help you live longer? Given the choice, I think I would rather have an ample supply of Glutathione in my body than be Glutathione deficient.

More information: http://www.maxweightloss.net/

Leptin Resistance and Weight Loss

Lose Fat and Keep Lean Muscle Mass

The discovery of Leptin resistance is a giant step forward in our understanding of how we gain and lose fat. Before this discovery it was believed that fat was just the way our body stored unused calories. Most believed that losing weight was a simple solution of eating less and exercising more to burn stored fat.

Recent discoveries have proven that most fad diets do not address the root cause of weight gain. The low-carbohydrates, the Atkins, Zone, and South Beach diets got it all wrong. Losing fat is not about eating certain proportions of fats and carbs. It is about Leptin—the hormone that controls our fat gain and how we burn and lose excess fat.

New research reveals that fat is not some inert mass stored in squashy bulges in all the wrong places in our body, but it is an active organ that produces its own hormones.

Leptin is the primary hormone generated by fat cells that is supposed to suppress our appetite and increase our metabolism rate when our body is functioning correctly. If this system is not working as it should then we can suffer from a specific hormonal imbalance now known as Leptin resistance.

This remarkable discovery was made at the Rockefeller University in 1994. Shortly thereafter, the University of Minnesota spent seven years perfecting a formula that controls our body’s production of Leptin. The University of Connecticut conducted a double-blind study on the effectiveness of this formulation that was named MaxWLX—weight loss accelerator.

Researchers now know why dieters who lose 30 or so pounds of weight often gain it all back plus an additional 5 pounds or more within a relatively short span of time. The production of Leptin by fat cells signals the brain to either store fat or to burn it. Leptin controls our metabolism and the rate that we burn fat. If our production of the Leptin hormone is out of balance then we stack on pounds. This condition is Leptin resistance, and usually occurs after a combination of years of overeating and a lack of exercise.

Fat around the waist is unhealthy and can lead to Heart Disease, High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Breast Cancer, Colorectal Cancer, Gallbladder Disorders, and Metabolic Syndrome.

If you have tried in vain to lose that bulging belly fat, if you have fallen off every fad diet you have tried, if your determination to lose weight has been hampered by sugar and starchy food cravings then it is not because you have low will-power or lack determination, it is due to your Leptin levels that are out of balance.

MaxWLX can restore Leptin levels to normal and free you of “yo-yo” dieting, food cravings, and with endless struggles of trying to lose weight by starving yourself.

You can take charge of your excess body fat, out of controlled food cravings, and a sluggish metabolism with MaxWLX weight loss accelerator.

MaxGXL can help restore your Leptin balance and speed up your metabolism to burn unwanted and unhealthy body fat and eliminate food cravings when used together with healthy eating practices and moderate exercise.

Get more information: http://www.maxweightloss.net/

Allergy and MaxGXL Glutathione

Research has shown that glutathione (MaxGXL glutathione enhancer) helps stabilize the lung's response to inflammation in asthma models, while increasing the body's production of T-cells involved in immune response.

Scientists believe that glutathione might help the body naturally reduce the inflammatory response that leads to heightened allergy symptoms.

If you are one of the millions of individuals who enjoy spring and summer with some trepidation, relief might be closer than you think. The nutritional sciences are constantly discovering new ways to improve the quality of life without drugs and synthetic chemicals.
During an allergy attack, white blood cells produce billions of molecules that scour the body in search of mast cells.

Once they have been located, the two types combine to form one cell. Once this merger has occurred, they newly formed cells gradually begin to secrete histamine.

Quercetin (a component of MaxGXL) is a bioflavonoid that works by stabilizing mast cells, thus preventing them from releasing excess histamine into the bloodstream. It is histamine that promotes the sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, and other symptoms associated with allergies. Stabilizing the cells that produce histamine has a powerful effect on how much histamine circulates throughout the body.

More on MaxGXL Glutathione: http://maxhealthproducts.net/

Glutathione Helps Aids Survival

NEW YORK, March 03 (Reuters) -- Maintaining healthy levels of a peptide called glutathione may play a "pivotal" role in slowing the progression of AIDS, researchers say.

"People with HIV who have lower glutathione levels (also) have a much lower probability of surviving over the course of three years than do people with normal glutathione levels," concludes Stanford University School of Medicine geneticist Dr. Leonard Herzenberg.

Glutathione (GSH) is a molecule involved in a range of normal cell activities, including cell division and the clean-up of intracellular toxins. But a low glutathione level effectively "decreases cell survival, alters (immune system) T cell functions, and increases HIV replication" in HIV-infected cells, researchers say.

They add that GSH-level measurements may be an accurate marker of AIDS progression. Traditionally, physicians have assessed the condition of HIV-infected patients by measuring levels of CD4 cells, part of the immune-system. CD4 counts of 1,000 cells per milliliter (ml) of blood are normal in healthy, uninfected individuals. These numbers drop precipitously in those infected with HIV. CD4 levels under 200 cells/ml are thought to leave AIDS patients vulnerable to a number of life-threatening opportunistic infections.

Herzenberg's team divided 204 HIV-positive, (but AIDS-asymptomatic), patients into two groups. They gave one group glutathione and the other group a placebo.

Ninety-nine of the 204 Stanford study subjects had initial CD4 counts of under 200 cells/ml. Most of the 99 who received placebo (and thus maintained low glutathione levels) died within the three-year study period.
"In contrast," said Herzenberg, "of the 28 people who started the study with low CD4 counts but maintained normal glutathione levels, 23 survived. In other words, about 80% of these people survived, even though their CD4 cell counts indicated their survival was unlikely."

Herzenberg believes "glutathione levels matter to patient survival," and the study says clinical measurements of those levels "emerges as a powerful yardstick for predicting survival in HIV infection."

And Herzenberg believes that boosting GSH (glutathione) levels can keep AIDS patients healthier longer. The study "provides the first clear indication that GSH deficiency plays a pivotal role in determining how quickly the final stages of HIV disease progress." Herzenberg says clinical trials assessing impact of glutathione administration on long-term HIV patient survival is the next logical step in research on the subject.

SOURCE: Excerpts of the National Academy of Sciences (1997;94:1967-1972)

Learn more about Glutathione and MaxGXL at: http://maxhealthproducts.com/

Doctors on Glutathione

We Cannot Live Without Glutathione

"Glutathione is a substance, the levels of which in our cells are predictive of how long we will live. The Lang study compared ill to healthy adult humans and demonstrated that "A decrease in Glutathione is a risk factor for chronic diseases that may be used to monitor the severity and progress of the diseases". As we get older there is a tendency for the antioxidant system to become depleted, but the relationship between Glutathione and antioxidants such as vitamin C, remains constant (Lenton, 2000). There is a direct correlation between Glutathione and vitamin C in lymphocyte cells throughout life.

Glutathione levels in blood components can be monitored. Glutathione studies may be a measure of prevention, as well as a monitor of the progress of serious illness (Lang, 2000).

Parkinson’s Disease

Glutathione levels in cells are diminished in Parkinson's disease as well as other neurologic diseases. Infusion of Glutathione has been shown to improve many of the symptoms of Parkinson's disease in a clinical trial (Sechi, 1996). While it is not possible to predict reversal of Parkinson's symptoms, many patients have enjoyed improvement after the infusion of Glutathione in two months. I have seen improvement with shorter schedules and in combination with nutrient building blocks. The easiest and surest way: Increase your body's supply of Glutathione, a natural compound that is a tripeptide (combination of three amino acids).” —Dr. David Williams.

The anti-oxidant Glutathione is composed of the amino acids glycine, glutamic acid, and cysteine. Glutathione plays a major role in removing various toxic chemicals from the body. As a result, Glutathione levels in the body are reduced by stress, pollution, and exposure to heavy metals such as mercury, lead, cadmium, and the chemicals used in chemotherapy.

In animal experiments, increased Glutathione consumption increases longevity by about 40%. Glutathione is an antioxidant that reduces the effects of diseases linked to free radical damage. Low levels of Glutathione can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, cataracts, macular degeneration, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, the destruction of immune cells associated with AIDS, and inflammatory bowel disease. It is important to note that most diseases are preceded by Glutathione deficiency.

Living to 100 and Beyond

In a recent study, the Odense University in Denmark compared the levels of Glutathione in 41 Centenarians between 100-105 years old to that in 52 community controls between the ages of 60-79. They found that the mean Glutathione activity was significantly higher in Centenarians than in the group of younger elderly subjects, and that Centenarians with the best functional capacity tended to have the highest Glutathione levels.

Increasing Your Glutathione Levels

Clinical research has documented that MaxGXL can dramatically raise Glutathione levels in your body. Department of Medical Chemistry, Biochemistry and Clinical Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovak Republic.

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) belongs to the neurodevelopmental disorders characterized by impulsivity, distractibility and hyperactivity. In the pathogenesis of ADHD genetic and non-genetic factors play an important role. It is assumed that one of non-genetic factors could be oxidative stress.

This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study investigated the influence of intercellular reduced Glutathione and oxidized Glutathione in children suffering from ADHD and total antioxidant status (TAS). This is the first investigation of the redox Glutathione state in relation to ADHD.

RESULTS: One month of Glutathione administration caused a significant decrease in oxidized Glutathione and a highly significant increase in Glutathione levels as well as improvement of Glutathione/oxidized Glutathione ratio in comparison to a group of patients taking a placebo. TAS in children with ADHD was decreased in comparison with reference values. Glutathione administration normalized the TAS of ADHD children in this study.

For more information about Glutathione: http://maxhealthproducts.net/

Glutathione and Vision

Aging individuals encounter higher rates of cataract, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. Diabetics are at particularly high risk for cataract. The high blood sugar levels found in diabetics have a direct effect on lens health and elevating oxidative stress.

One the most feared concerns in the elderly is going blind or having a major loss of vision. Scientific studies conclusively show that degenerative eye disease is not inevitable.

The concentration of Glutathione in the lens of the eye is higher than in most other tissues. Glutathione protects the structural proteins and enzymes necessary for the maintenance of lens flexibility and clarity against free radical assault.

Aging lenses of the eye lose Glutathione, and this reduction of Glutathione has been found to lead directly to reactions that cause deterioration of the lens.

For more details: http://MaxHealthProducts.Net

What Doctors Are Saying About Glutathione

“Glutathione is the unsung antioxidant…the one that makes all the others work.” Robert Atkins MD, founder of the Atkins Center for Complementary Medicine.

"No other antioxidant is as important to overall health as Glutathione. Glutathione is an extremely important part of the detoxification system, and thus of our defenses against cancer.

Glutathione may also be one of the most important keys to longevity. Centenarians have been found to have higher levels of Glutathione than would be expected for their age. “Boosting one's Glutathione levels ...should be one of the first items on anyone's anti-aging agenda.” - Ivy Greenwell in The Antioxidant Network, A brief review of "The Antioxidant Miracle," by Lester Packer, PhD and Carol Colman.

"Without Glutathione, other important antioxidants such as vitamins C and E cannot do their job adequately to protect your body against disease." Allan Somersall, Ph.D., M.D., and Gustavo Bounous, M.D. FRCS(C) in Breakthrough in Cell Defense.

"If there is one survival tool every HIV+ person should consider, it is taking dietary supplements that increase Glutathione production." - Michael Mooney, Author of Built to Survive: A Comprehensive Guide to the Medical Use of Anabolic Steroids, Nutrition and Exercise for HIV+ men and women.

Dr. Lombard points out in his book, "The Brain Wellness Plan"...the brain’s high fat content renders it especially vulnerable to free radicals, so that the body has defined specific ways to protect brain cell fatty acids through special antioxidants.... Glutathione is one of the most powerful antioxidants in the body. Depressed Glutathione levels are associated with the increased generation of free radicals found in Parkinson’s patients that contributes to brain cell death."

Parkinson's occurs in about one of every hundred people over the age of 65. It is a slow progressing disease of the nervous system that results in progressive destruction of brain cells (neurons) in an area of the brain. Death can occur as a result of secondary complications such as infections.

Several factors explain why Glutathione is so beneficial in Parkinson’s disease. 1) Glutathione increases the sensitivity of the brain to dopamine. Although Glutathione doesn't raise dopamine levels, it allows the dopamine in the brain to be more effective. 2) Glutathione's powerful antioxidant activity protects the brain from free radical damage. 3) An even more intriguing benefit of Glutathione lies in its powerful detoxification ability.

Need more information about Glutathione and how it prevents diseases and age related illnesses? As of May 2006 about 70,736 medical articles and research documents on Glutathione were posted on the PubMed website. PubMed is hosted by the USA government as a resource for researchers and medical doctors. This site encompasses the libraries of “National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), National Library of Medicine (NLM), and the National Institute of Health (NIH).

PubMed: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed

Author: Al Greer http://maxhealthproducts.net/

Glutathione: Be Healthier and Live Longer

From an article by Ward Dean MD in Vitamin Research News.

Mitochondrial Glutathione is critical to the healthy cell, and is probably the most important antioxidant defense system within the mitochondria cell. Age-related alterations in these enzymes can have a profound adverse effect on health and longevity.

Age-Related Changes in Glutathione

Drs. J.P. Richie and Calvin Lang of the Department of Biochemistry, University of Louisville, were the first to propose that a Glutathione deficiency might be a biochemical cause of the aging process. They demonstrated that Glutathione blood levels predictably declined with age in healthy men and women ranging in age from 20 to 94.

Scientists at the University of Pavia found that Glutathione levels continue to decline with age. Subjects with the highest Glutathione levels survived the longest.

In another study of enzyme activity in the very old, Dr. Helle Anderson and colleagues at Odense University in Denmark compared the levels of Glutathione in 41 centenarians between 100-105 years old to that in 52 community controls between the ages of 60-79. They found that the mean Glutathione activity was significantly higher in centenarians than in the group of younger elderly subjects, and that centenarians with the best functional capacity tended to have the highest Glutathione levels.

Dr. Lang’s group evaluated Glutathione levels in 87 women in excellent physical and mental health, ranging in age from 60 to 103. The scientists found that all subjects had very high blood Glutathione levels. They followed these women for five years and concluded that “high blood Glutathione concentrations … are characteristic of long-lived women.”

Glutathione in Health and Disease

Just as high Glutathione levels are related to increased survival and longer life in all organisms tested so far, lower levels are related to poorer health and a number of chronic degenerative diseases, including heart disease, arthritis, hypertension, diabetes, cancer, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and musculoskeletal diseases, age-related macular degeneration (ARMD), preeclampsia, cataracts, chronic renal failure, leukemia, respiratory diseases such as COPD and adult respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), hearing loss, and AIDS.

Dr. Lang concluded that decreased Glutathione levels are risk factors for chronic diseases and may be used to monitor the severity and progress of the diseases.

Conversely, Dr. Mara Julius of the Department of Epidemiology, University of Michigan, in a study of 33 subjects over the age of 60, found that higher Glutathione levels were associated with fewer illnesses and higher levels of self rated health, lower cholesterol, lower body mass index and lower blood pressures. The author noted that this was the first study that showed an association of higher Glutathione levels with higher levels of physical health in a community-based sample.

Glutathione and Detoxification

One of Glutathione’s primary roles in the body is to detoxify a number of drugs and toxins. Acetaminophen (APAP, i.e.,Tylenol) has been studied intensively in regard to its Glutathione-depleting properties, and with regard to Glutathione’s ability to prevent APAP-induced liver and kidney damage. Since GSH Glutathione levels decrease with aging in all tissues, including the liver and kidney, older organisms are thus at even greater risk to APAP-induced liver and renal damage than younger organisms.

Increasing Tissue Glutathione Levels

It is clear that those with the highest Glutathione levels are likely to live the longest in the best of health.

Read this article in its entirety refer to “Vitamin Research News Vol. 20, Number 8 by Ward Dean, MD”.

The product that has been documented to produce high levels of Glutathione concentrations in the body is MaxGXL. http://MaxHealthProducts.Net/order.htm

Free 20-page eBook available "Glutathione Master Antioxidant" http://MaxHealthProducts.Net/ebook.htm

GLUTAHIONE: MOST POWERFUL ANTIOXIDANT

The most powerful Antioxidant is not a Berry, a Fruit or a Drink. It is in your Body—Glutathione (GSH). Every cell in your body requires an adequate supply of Glutathione to function and to stay healthy.

Glutathione is the most powerful antioxidant in your body. Increasing Glutathione levels will naturally increase your energy, detoxify your body and strengthen your immune system.

Glutathione (GSH) is a protein produced naturally in our cells. Unfortunately, as we grow older our body produces less and less of this vital antioxidant. GSH functions both as an antioxidant and an antitoxin. It is a major defense system against illness and aging.

Our Glutathione level actually indicates our state of health and can predict longevity. There are more than 60,000 published papers on the beneficial effects of Glutathione supplementation. A wealth of information about MaxGXL and Glutathione can be found on the Internet.

A free eBook "Glutathione Master Antioxidant" is available http://MaxHealthProducts.Net/maxgxl-free-ebook.htm

Glutathione improves mental functions, increases energy, improves concentration, promotes increased levels of exercise, improves chronic pain disorders, lowers blood pressure, improves heart and lung functions, and helps control the effects of diabetes.

Increasing age and other factors reduces the body’s production and utilization of GSH. Research has shown that individuals who have low levels of Glutathione are susceptible to chronic illness.

Clinical data indicates our GSH levels decline by 8% to 12% per decade, beginning at the age of 20. Levels of Glutathione are further reduced by continual stress upon the immune system such as illness, infection, and environmental toxins.

A lowered immune system results in higher incidents of illness and disease. This is a ferocious cycle. While you need Glutathione for a productive immune system, a weakened immune system hampers the production of Glutathione.

Unfortunately, supplements containing Glutathione alone will not increase the body’s GSH Levels. It is not prudent to purchase supplements that merely contain Glutathione, because the digestive system breaks down ingested Glutathione and it will not be absorbed into your system.

Glutathione provides the proper nutrients needed to promote the body's own ability to manufacture and absorb Glutathione. Glutathione aids in liver support by destroying environmental poisons thus helping the liver to function as the main production site and storehouse for Glutathione.

Robert Keller MD, MS, FACP is the inventor and developer of a new Glutathione enhancing product called MaxGXL. Dr. Keller was named as one of the worlds’s 2,000 Outstanding Scientists of the 21st Century, and has served on the scientific review panels for the National Institutes of Health and the VA. He has served on the faculties of the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine, the University of Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin (Marquette Univ.) He has published more than 100 original articles in various medical journals.

Dr. Keller was elected to The Board of Governors of the American Academy of HIV medicine, and serves on the Scientific Advisory Board of the National Hemophilia Federation.

The Consumers’ Research Council has named Dr. Keller one of America’s “Top Physicians in 2003, 2004, and 2005 in the fields of Internal Medicine, Immunology and Hematology. Dr. Keller continues his medical practice and research activities at his clinic and laboratory in Florida.

How oxidation and inflammation are making you age, no matter how hard you work to take care of yourself. And what you can do about it.

Dr. Keller interview excerpts: You know all about inflammation—when you twist your ankle and it swells up to twice its size, that’s inflammation. You probably also know that when you get a headache or strain your back, inflammation is the sources of the pain you feel. And, if you’ve read up on health conditions, you may be aware that inflammation is part of a heart attack.

These types of inflammation that we’re familiar with are associated with illness or injuries. But chances are you’re not aware of a very significant inflammatory reaction—one that profoundly affects your health every day of your life that is not caused by an illness or injury. I’m talking about inflammation at age cellular level, which is a normal process within the body.

To understand this kind of inflammation, it’s helpful to think of the trillions of cells in your body as tiny “power plants’, each working to its maximum capacity to produce the energy in a complex chemical process, of other chemical bonding oxygen.

We all know we need oxygen. Oxygen is essential, ironically, is what makes it ultimately dangerous and destructive. Oxygen is a high unstable, highly reactive substance. All materials, when exposed to oxygen, will break down the bonds they have and from new bonds. This process—oxidation—releases a great deal of energy, but it also produces multiple waste products.

You’ve seen oxidation hundreds of times—it’s one of the most common and powerful chemical reactions on earth. Oxidation is what happens when you leave an iron pipe out in the rain and you see it rust. It’s also what happens in your fireplace when you see a lot consumed in flames. Think about that log in your fireplace—think about the soothing warmth and bright light it produces. Now think about the pile of ashes that’s left behind.

Something very similar happens within your cells. Energy (like the heat and light in your fireplace) is produced by the cell’s oxidative reaction, but is a “pile of ashes,” so to speak. The waste products left behind are call oxidants. In many cases, they can themselves be corrosive and destructive—like the rust on that pipe I mentioned earlier. Even oxidants that are not in and of themselves harmful can really clog up the works in your cells, making the cells less efficient and less able to produce energy. And, because oxidation is present—not just in your cells—your body is under attack from as well as from within—with pollutants, food additives and other substances that can cause oxidative damage to the cells.

But as we all know, the body is an amazing self-correcting system, so of course there are natural processes in place to combat the damage oxidation does. That’s where inflammation comes in. Inflammation is the natural result of a biochemical processes and reactions, the purpose of which is to undo the damage done by oxidation in the cell.

Author: Al Greer http://www.MaxHealthProducts.Net/

Purchase MaxGXL Glutathione Wholesale http://MaxHealthProducts.Net/MaxGXL_Order.htm
